I've put 10 KW PEP (SSB) through a standard Milspec N connector attached to
RG-393. Also with L44W 1/2" Heliax connectors (solder on center pin as
well) . However, this was with a perfect match.

And for Peter .... this was not on the ham bands, so you can rest easy.

I run 1500W on 144, 222 and 400W on 432 thru N connectors.
The 1000W AM CARRIER (4000W PEP) 432 military cavity Ive been working on has an N.

All Mil Spec US made of course.

They are available from many suppliers. I have been running a "healthy" 1.5 kW through them at 50 MHz for 6 or 7 years without any trouble so far. SWR is typically 1.5:1 but has been over 2:1 with ice and snow at times.

A few weeks ago, there was an excellent thread concerning connectors on one of the forums. I didn't see it mentioned so I was wondering if anyone has
tested or subjected the 2-piece "N" connectors to trial by fire? High
Sierra is the only place I've seen them----

The price is reasonable.
