REACTANCE
Reactance makes a poor common mode choke, first because its choking Z is
inherently rather low, but most important, because at some frequencies
its inductive reactance will form a series resonance with a line that
is, by virtue of its length, capacitive. When that happens, the common
mode current INCREASES!
This is discussed in the tutorial, previously cited.
