[CQ-Contest] Question re CQWW UBN point deductions

Subject: [CQ-Contest] Question re CQWW UBN point deductions

Tim,

I reviewed Barry's UBN and his interpretation was incorrect.

The value of the QSO is removed as well as the penalty. So, the total amount
removed from your final score - per qso is figured this way:

QSO point value + 3x QSO Point Value = Total Points Subtracted

You have to remember that the QSO value is still in the final score prior to
the penalty being applied, so the original value of the QSO is subtracted along
with 3 times that amount which is the penalty.

Here's how his added up:

NIL QSOS Value Penalty Total
PY5XT 3 9 -12
IT9ORA 3 9 -12
EA6/DL1GGT 3 3 -12

Total Bad QSO points removed 36

Bad QSOS Value Penalty Total
UV5Q -3 -9 -12
LZ2KL -3 -9 -12
W7NIR 0 0 0
--------------------------------------

QSOS Value Penalty Total

Total Bad QSO points removed 24

This aligns perfectly with what the report shows:

> NIL QSO points removed (no possible logs) = 36 (3 QSOs).
> BAD QSO points removed = 24 (3 QSOs).
