I think Bill has a valid point.  I don't think QSK would fix it, and it
definitely doesn't only happen when you pause.  

It's true that if you scratch the QSO, it's the other guy who gets
dinged.  On the other hand, you just wasted the time you spent making
the QSO only to delete it - time that's obviously precious during the
Sprint.
