I think that QSLing is a pain but...

I remember when I was getting started I personally checked the mail everyday
for cards. I just loved to get the cards. It is real hard to not QSL to
everyone that sends me one so I decided on a plan.

I reply to all bureau cards through the bureau, I reply to all direct cards
if they have SASE, and via the bureau if no SASE. (I do not reply to USA
cards without SASE - well maybe not all the time.) I upload all my QSOs to
LOTW and even eQSL. I follow this process at the end of each month. Varies
between 200 - 500 QSLs per month.

Since I have logging software, I monitor who I have sent cards to and I
don't send cards for duplicate contacts until at least 1 year after I sent
the original. (Sometimes I get 3 or 4 cards from the same station/contact
within three months and I know the bureau cards haven't gotten there yet.)
If I have multiple additional contacts with a station, I usually confirm as
many of those contacts as I can on that card.

I was using mail labels until recently. They are expensive, and difficult to
use. Two months ago, with some help, I learned how to print directly on my
QSLs. That was wonderful. NO more labels! I can usually finish my logging
chores for the month in two or three hours. I use lightweight QSLs so a lot
fit into an envelope to the bureau. (I send the Jas to the JA bureau direct,
it's cheaper.
