Great idea Mark!
Maybe this could be tested on some of the NCCC weekly contests or similar.
Right now when I xmit on my vertical it wipes out my internet connection.

Subject: [CQ-Contest] What if we had real-time LOGGING?
What if we had a contest where, instead of streaming audio and video, we had
to submit our LOGS in real-time to the sponsor? Heck, the results could be
ready when the closing bell rang!
I think this could be a lot of fun, especially if it were combined with a
real-time scoreboard - one that included all of the entries. Unfortunately,
not everyone has always-on, reliable, internet access, so this may not be
practical. Heck, I don't always have it...
When you bust a callsign, we can get some of those wonderful sportscasters
to do color commentary: "Well, KD4D sure blew that one. A two qso penalty
and a multiplier!
That's gonna hurt..." :-)
I think we need a NEW contest to try this with. This would be a different
game and I love the current one too much to want to try this with, say,
CQWW. But I think it might be really exciting. Maybe we could try a short
contest - four hours or so just to see how it works.
