I'm surprised!

After looking some of CQWW 2007 CW logs, I'm wondering how it is
possible to be that good SO2R guy as some of CQWW logs pointed out.

As an example, let's look one of European Top 10 entries (#5) in
previous CQWW CW. I have to say that 9A1A is real king of SO2R.

Actually it's not enough that we see great SO2R operating, but it's
more like SO3R. That's something I remember CT1BOH said once that SO3R
may be possible some day... From the log you can see that there's
pileup going on on both 40M and 80M, but also in between there's some
Q's made with 3rd radio (many Q's showing frequency of 3500, 7000 in
log meaning radio had no CAT connected like 1st and 2nd radio had).

But hey, because rate is only something like 4 Qs/minute, there's
plenty of time to S&P with B VFOs' of A and B radio with good SO3R
setup. So meanwhile working new mults with 3rd radio, you can actually
S&P with B VFOs' like in example below. Running pileup on 3525 and
7025 and working mults on 80M and S&P some Qs' like DF0HQ on 80M and
N3RS on 40M, not bad!

So I really have to say that I admire operating skills of Emil and
other guys doing the same. I would not be able to do the same no
matter how hard I practice. And if you see same kind of operating in
my SO Unassisted log, you can be quite sure that I've been cheating in
hard way. With only two ears, I just can't figure out how I could
manipulate my brains to work so efficiently with 5 RX at the same
time.

Here's just one example from log:

Also I'm little surprised of S&P capabilities of some unassisted guys.
But maybe if I could also handle 5 RX simultaneously, I would find
multipliers like some others do, up and down on the bands with quite
nice rates:

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing personal against Emil, 9A1A. I'm
just using his log as an example on how on earth this kind of efforts
can be listed in top ten listings! I do accept that it may not be
possible to check all logs that carefully, but if even serious entries
are not checked, it makes me very sad when thinking the future of
contesting.
