FYI I have always stayed at the Crowne Plaza, but they're NUTS at over $220
a room...
I had a reservation there and dumped it... Maybe that's the way to do it,
take a room there, then cancel it and let them know WHY you're canceling
it... That should come through loud and clear!
A bunch of our guys are staying at the DoubleTree (11 South Ludlow Street,
Dayton 937-461-4700) which is two blocks from Crowne Plaza - VERY NICE
rooms, and only $80 PER NIGHT... You can park at the same garage as the
Crowne Plaza or walk the two blocks.
Last I checked they still had rates... I think $80 is the "senior rate" but
they probably do the same for AAA too.

order to get the average cost/person down to a reasonable level. At the new
rate with 3 sharing the nightly average is still about $78. Please advise

if no takers we plan to move to a different hotel after about 25 years at
the CP! The
new owners have really made things different.
