Hi Steve,

You are right about CW activity. Over 5000 logs submitted already for CQWW
CW this year and the November CW Sweepstakes sure had some big QSO numbers.
I also noticed that the ARRL Field Day CW QSO totals over the last few years
are holding strong. We will have a CW class at our local club this Spring!

Hope to hear you on "the low end"!

That's not completely accurate. The RTTY Roundup is sponsored by the ARRL.
The 
NAQP is sponsored by the National Contest Journal. The ARRL is the publisher
and 
distributor of the National Contest Journal. The NCJ editors and contest 
managers have independent editorial control of the NCJ contents and its
contests.

The "CW contests are declining in participation" is a dubious statement when
you 
look at the number of participants in the NAQP, CQWW CW, and ARRL DX CW
contests.
