The CQ WW DX Contest promotes the DXCC awards' program and helps improving
DXCC awards' standings.
The CQ WPX promotes the WPX awards' program and helps improving WPX awards'
standings.
The IOTA Contest promotes the IOTA awards' program and helps improving IOTA
awards' standings.

Offering to replace the DXCC based principle by the distance based one is
pretty much the same as offering RSGB to skip the boring islands' based
points system and accept the more attractive country based one, instead.

In regard to this remark, wich is true.
What about changing scores on HF Contests based on distance (we have the WW
Locator system) rather then just on continents/countries.

The main scoring now for HF contests is mainly based on the DXCC list.
This list is in the majority of contests used as the multiplier list.
But is this realy fair, regarding that the USA is counted as one country,
UA9/0 also. The distances in these regions have also a reflections on the
possible contacts on certain bands.

Sri guys, I just a just throw a stick in a pool.
Wondering what might come out of it.
