That is a fairly common copying error, at least for me, and seldom
corrected. It could also be caused by transmitting too quickly, before the
other station has fully switched back to receive.

Every Radio I have ever had no matter how i adjust the vox unless I make a
noise before saying anything the first syllable would never be heard well,

My Wiskey Bravo Nine came back to me 50% of the time as Kilo Bravo nine
the wis of the wiskey would be cut off. so people would hear the key and
assume they heard kilo.
