FWIW : I don't think it is that common in the U.S.
I like to run Lower 48 on 30M whenever I can ...since ..with the possible
exception of Joe WL7E, I think I" m the only guy up here with a gain antenna
for the band. I've found very few flagrant exceptions to what I'd expect
...given RBN data ..and the fact that some 1 way propagation is a fact of
life in the Far North. If someone was going to be tempted to do it
...trying to work me on 30M would be where to do it ..since ...being in an
urban area with a high noise floor ...I tend to get out better than I hear.
