I've received email from a friend who tells me that my comment with respect to W2VJN's work on stubs was somehow viewed as a personal attack. Nothing could be farther from the truth -- I have a great deal of respect for George and his work. His book on Managing Interstation Interference is excellent, and I've stated several times that it is required reading for hams building multi-transmitter sites.

That said, none of us is perfect, none of us know everything, nor are any of us beyond criticism. Like everyone I know, I occasionally screw up, and I appreciate it when people tell me about it. Tom Rauch has handed me my head on a plate several times, and most of the time (but not always), he was right.

That's why I wrote my piece on the subject for NCJ about a year ago.
