I purchased an 87A in 1994. Since then it has been modified with Alpha-Max
and an extra cooling fan for RTTY operation. It has never missed a day of
operation for all these years.
I also purchased an 87A Omega, one of the last 20 87A amps produced. It is
now inoperative, and I need to find someone who can fix it. There is a

87a amps are cheap for a good reason. They do not age well. Own one only
if you really enjoy fixing yours monthly, if parts can be found.
Owner of two at same time, sold long ago.
Note...... band change/tune too slow for SO2R, maybe $3000 is too much.
