Hi Fritz,

I think you are on the right track. When using just a cable from the radio to the computer, signal level adjustments are critical. Make sure you have the right setting in the soundcard selection under the FLDigi configuration.

Keeping the signal more or less in the center of the bandpass of the receiver really helps. I have mine around 1200-1300 hz.

Keep experimenting, but nothing beats a proper interface, with isolation between the radio and the computer. Lastly, the chances that you will get 100% copy consistently is very small.
