I've standardized on 23-24-in monitors for two reasons. 1) They fit in the available space -- I have one on each P3 and another as expansion for the shack laptop.  2) They run on the 12V system that powers the radio gear, so I can throw away their noisy SMPS wall warts.  Larger monitors run from higher voltage supplies, making them harder to replace with linear supplies that don't make RF noise.  AND -- even those monitors that run on 12V are getting harder to find.  BTW -- they are made by Samsung and the power connector is labeled 14VDC.

I currently have a 23" monitor on my desk which fits perfectly between 2

redecorating to accommodate a larger monitor.

I'm interested in thoughts on the ideal monitor size, and resolution) for what we do (SO1R here).
