To me, It keeps me active Keeps my Butt in the Chair.
Without it if things got slow I'd walk away.
But now if K9XYZ just passed me, it would be "Ah No You Don't!" and i'd try extra harder do something to catch him and pass him up again.

I enjoy the online scoreboard a lot. Yes, it's interesting when I see the
competition change bands, but that really doesn't affect my choice of band
(unless I'm not paying attention).

It keeps me focused. I like watching the N1MM rate bar chart in the info
window; it helps me know when to change bands.

The online Scoreboard is the present and the future.. I can't wait for sponsors
to start compelling its use.
Without the scoreboard I would have never taken the interest I have in
Contesting. I suspect many others are the same. I cannot fathom the reasons
people have for lurking in the shadows.
I'm proud to post my Class *before* the contest, to post my score during. I
have nothing to hide and it's very enjoyable to participate with hundreds of
others.
I forget about most contests long before the results come out.. The scoreboard
gives a real time challenge, feedback and Fun factor that could never be
achieved otherwise. Thankfully, in most major contests, the winners are on the
scoreboard and the others are inconsequential.

Check the Box... Post to the scoreboard, help Helping Contesting.

Actually, of the 20 Top 10 HP Worldwide scores in CQ WW SSB - only 50%
were on the online scoreboard.

70% (7) of the assisted and 30% (3) of the unassisted.

I think it's a personal preference thing and is highly leaned towards
those running assisted - which makes sense.

I can only speak for myself. I run unassisted and am not a fan.
