When my tv is off, I receive spikes on my HF receiver spaced about =
54kHz apart (switching power supply?). They are typically about S9. =
When the tv is turned on, the spikes turn into broadband noise typically =
around S4 to S5. This is being picked up through the antennas.

I tried wrapping the power cord around a ferrite core (Radio Shack =
split core) and also tried an AC line filter (Radio Shack unit). =
Neither one seemed to have any effect.

Anyone ever experience this? Any ideas would be appreciated. I =
would really like to eliminate this problem. In the meantime, I'm =
looking for a JPS ANC-4.

73,
     KT6RA Ray Antasek
