You left out a couple of important factors.  How strong the RFI is to begin
with and how sensitive my equipment is, so despite all the math, it's
worthless.

Reasonable or not, this is what I have seen and heard over the years, I've
even commented in the past on this list and since someone asked, commented
again.  No doubt when I hear another one, I'll comment AGAIN.  If I hear a
different hybrid, I'll comment on that too.

I'm not trying to start a pissing contest, just commenting on real world
observation.

Here's something else to run the numbers on...  Using the same setup, I
tracked down a 4-7W signal on HF from a 10" HT antenna in a brick/steel
building from a distance of about 45 miles through three valleys and over
two low mountain ranges.  That's probably unreasonable too...
