Believe me, if it is "arcing" you will HEAR it with your ear...  If it
is sparking, you will hear it with your radio... 

I once heard an arc from 7200 line...  I was maybe 40 feet away, and it
was loud, and it sounded like it had some power behind it...  Sort of a
deep rumbling 120 Hz arc...  I have heard small arcs, this is totally
different!  :)  You will know, and not have to ask if it is an arc.
