Almost that simple IMHO. Given the hypothetical device can drive the
impedances at all frequencies equally, the radiated patterns will have the
characteristics of the antenna at those frequencies, so the frequency where
it is 1/2 wave dipole will have a typical dipole pattern and other
frequencies in the spectrum will have lesser or greater gain depending on
what that dipole looks like at those freqs, like an EDZ fir example.
