We just obtained an AC line filter by Morgan Manufacturing. It also used a 
ferrite on the ground wire.

One problem is that what EMC regs call common mode is not what WE call
common mode. What radiates is what WE call it, and most of that is on
the green wire, which sails right past line filters. And it's on the
green wire because of improper termination of the green wire inside the
equipment -- the power equivalent of "the Pin One Problem."
