Practically all oils will burn. They each have an ignition temperature,
even the silicone based transformer oils though the silicone makes the
ignition temperature much higher. Peanut oil is popular for deep fat
frying because its ignition temperature is higher than some of the
others, but hot peanut oil can put some people into convusions from
allergic reactions. As bad as eating peanuts.

Additives of modern motor oils are there to protect tin and copper, not
to attack them.

Mineral oil USP is a safe bet.
