Dale;
WD-40 was not intended as a lubricant. The "WD" stands for Water
Displacement, which it does very well. I used it liberally on my snow
blower to prevent starting problems caused by the electrical system
getting when snow and ice got into it during normal use.

Am I wrong in my understanding that WD-40 is not a lubricant and
that it evaporates and leaves little or nothing in the way of
lubrication on the part?
