Reid, I've been suspicious for a long time there's a conspiracy to keep all
the CW activity back on the East Coast and down South!! Your experiences

I'm on the West Coast too (Oregon) and the bands seemed pretty much dead at
my QTH the past few days. And over the past year I rarely heard any CW
signals on 160 or 80. I can't remember when I last encountered a crowded CW
band except for contests, and I "don't do" contests. And now we are on the
downside of the sunspot cycle. AAARRGH!!

I'd check the rig and/or antenna, Ed - plenty of CW signals on those
bands here in North Central Texas as late as 0500Z.
