Carl, I used a Lafayette general coverage receiver from the 60's during my
novice days that also had this "feature" of being able to receive multiple
frequencies simultaneously! My DSP filter in those days was located between
my ears, but alas I've gotten really lazy in old age and now rely too much
on the newer receiver technology for filtering multiple signals.....I think
my old-style brain filter worked much better in those days, but can't get it
working right anymore........S I G H!!!

Yes, and remember how great the powermite performed. You could hear all
of 40 meters simultaneously!!

When I was a kid, I had a crystal set. It had no converisons at all. I
could receive two stations
with it.
