I just came into possession of the docs for the old Johnson Matchbox models,
and they did list impedances of 50 to 2000 ohms as their range of
adjustment. Too bad, this was dropped for the current makes of Tee circuit
transmatches. They did not have a lot of info but they did list that.
Another interesting thing was one model provided a place to hook up a user
supplied wire whip inside the transmatch apparently to provide a tune up RF
output indication, if you did not invest in the optional Johnson directional
coupler (swr monitoring circuit). This probe could be hooked to a diode
detector and DC meter.
