I noticed a peculiarity with the line output on my Pegasus. I noticed that
when I had a straight through stereo cable (like the one that comes with the
Pegasus) running from the LINE OUT jack to my computer sound card LINE IN
jack, that I was able to obtain proper signal levels with the soundcard
input control about half way. This is with the Pegasus line level set to
max. However, if I connect the output from the ACCY jack to my computer
soundcard, I have to turn the sound card input control all the way down and
the input still overloads on audio peaks. I'm actually using a K4ABT Rascal
interface for the proper cabling. The interface has a 1:1 isolation
transformer inline, but that's it.

I then fired up the mV test mode on a Timewave DSP599zx. I used the CW
spot tone to generate a constant tone. I measured the output and got 282 mV
RMS from the line out jack and 436 mV RMS from the ACCY jack. The input
impedance of the Timewave is 20 k ohms.
With an input impedance of 25 ohms, I got 8 mV RMS from the line out and 38
mV RMS from the ACCY.

I had always thought that the Line Out jack and the line out on the ACCY
jack were in parallel. Obviously, there is some difference.

It looks like if I'm going to use the Rascal interface, I'm going to have to
pad the input unless there is a way to adjust it on the Pegasus. I don't
want to reduce the LINE OUT setting as that will reduce the speaker output.
