Sinisa should be commended for a logical and alternative view of the RF
ground vs. ground rod issue! Of course, and a refreshing viewpoint, we
should not depend on ground for part of our RF path at all! That is what
using balanced antennas, such as a dipole or loop does, it gives us two
equal conductors to launch RF into the ionospheric or ground wave path.
Also, elevated radials, or vertical dipoles above ground improve the
efficiency of the wave launching.

That then leaves the protection function of the ground system which is
easier to provide if RF in not in the path.

Thank you Sinisa!
