Orion's VFO encoders have a substandard resolution
of only ~256 steps in FAST mode. Coupled with
10 Hz steps this provides 2.56 kHz per revolution.
That's good for CW, but not good for SSB, giving
only ~1 channel per revolution.

Common SSB tuning rates are 10-25 kHz per revolution,
giving ~4-10 channels per revolution. But with Orion's
encoders this calls for 100 Hz steps, which is too coarse.

Limited resolution encoders would be much more usable
if the step selection offered more choices. For example,
20, 25 or even 50 Hz steps could be very useful on SSB,
giving 5.12, 6.40 or 12.80 kHz per revolution.

Therefore, I suggest that STEP selection be performed
by the MULTI button from the following list of values:

  1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100 Hz
  1, 5, 10, 25, 100 kHz

Is some important value missing?

This should be a fairly easy firmware change, given that
the hardware (I think) already supports it.
