Here's my tuner setup.

Starting from the radio, the signal goes to a 4 to 1 coax switch (this
allows me to select among different radios).

>From the switch it goes through a LDG AT11MP auto tuner.

>From the LDG it goes into my SB220 Linear.

>From the Linear it goes through a Palstar AT1500. On the Bypass port of the
tuner, I have an oil filled dummy load for amp tuning.

Finally it goes out to the antenna (actually it goes to a remote antenna
relay at the base of the tower).

When running with the amp off, I put the Palstar in the untuned settings
(bypassing it), I use the LDG tuner if the selected radio doesn't have a
built in tuner (such as my Pegasus and Orion). I have found that the
internal tuner in my Icom 746 Pro can handle any SWR that my antennas have,
so I don't use the LDG with it.

With the amp on, I use the Palstar to tune the antenna. On some
frequencies, the amp input SWR seems a little high, so I sometimes use the
LDG to tame it, but usually I only use one tuner at at time.

Mark
