Not all of us work DX or contests all the time. With my Orion II and Studio
Heil Mike I use the following settings:
Mic gain 50
Sp OFF (Sounds slightly better off, but with SP at 2 - 3, I reduce Mic Gain to
25 - 30)
TX EQ -18
Low Freq. rolloff 180
TX bandwidth 2850
These settings were arrived at by using a tape recorder hooked up to monitor
output and playing back though home stereo with all bass/treble boost off
