I am going to buy a second rig - I have summer and winter locations.
I am mostly a CW operator.
I have an Orion II - its super.
I sold an FT-1000 Mark V with INRAD xtals in anticipation of buying FT-2000
200w rig. Mistake.
Now I am convinced th FT-2000 D is substandard in CW operation to the rig I
SOLD, and to either the Orion I or II.
But I think the sizzle of the DMU on the FT-2000 is quite attractive. Scott
says TenTec has no plans for any DMU kind of product.
Is there someone out there who owns both the Orion II and the FT-2000 that
operates CW that can give me a nudge as to which you prefer.
What ever the second rig, I will be keeping the ORION II ! I think private
email would be best for this.
