Yeah...my omni vi does that little shift also...until I pulled the internal 
speaker (I never use those anyway...much prefer an external speaker) and 
installed a computer power supply's fan that runs in series with a second 
fan on the heatsink. No more drift and the omni's internal components stay 
nice and cool.
I placed an air filter on top of the speaker grill to keep dust out of the 
works.
