Hi
I have as my second rig a Triton IV 540 Analog. It came with
a 252G power supply which is now maybe giving me a problem.
My first question for the experts is: Can the power drop
to 0 volts because a wire between the PS and rig is not connected?
I haven't checked yet but while looking at the manual I noticed a
note to the effect that the power supply can be wired with four
wires, 12V + and - and a pair to allow the control of on/off to
on the power supply.
I loaned this rig to a fellow club member and when he returned this
one after getting his new rig it didn't work. I just don't want to
dig into something that turns out to be a simple plug problem. This
pair has the power wires going via the older Jones Plug connectors,
but didn't TT change to the inline Molex type plug at some time during
the manufacture cycle? Seems to me I remember owning a 540/262G combo
that had that kind of plug.
