Hi all.
I got to tuning around last night with my new to me Omni VI/Option 3. WOW
what a great radio. Still learning how to operate it, but I did get it
hooked up to my PC, and was able to operate it via the serial interface,
although the manual that came with it had pins 2 and 3 swapped in the
diagram.
First I want to say for a used radio, it looks like brand new, even the
matching power supply I picked up. Hats off to TenTec for the quality, and
obvious care and pride they take in the equipment they sell.
The reports of "muddy" ssb received audio to me are unsubstantiated. but
then again I do not expect broadcast quality from it.
Over all for the few hours I used it I am glad I made the choice..
First question: For PSK31. how are your guys hooked it?? I made a quick
jumper from the line out to my PC line it. seems to work, but the level
seems a bit low, but then again I onle used it for like 15 minutes..
