I own and enjoy both an Omni VI factory opt 1 and a Orion 1. They are both
fun to operate and I do not plan to sell either one in the near future. If
however, I had to pick one, it would be the Orion. Its just a better rig for
over all performance. I work all modes and use them mostly for DX. The
filters in the Orion are just a bit better than the Omni VI. The Orion is
the best used rig for the money and although Ten Tec tries to service
everything they make, I think they will be able to service my Orion a little
longer than my Omni VI.
Frankly you can't go wrong with either one.
