There is wisdom here.  On the other hand, the "open" culture is not
something to jettison lightly.  It's a big competitive advantage compared
with the off-shore vendors, especially for maintenance.  People (at TT and
everywhere) should be careful about giving out information that is not
"official" and might be wrong.  For example, it's doing no one any favors to
say that a certain firmware release is coming real soon now, when things
could be delayed for any of a number of good reasons.

I would suggest that TT should *date* the entries on their product status
page, so we can all tell how actively that information is being maintained.
