I have been running 1.373b5 (experimental) for a year or so. now and again
the radio quits working. so far a shut down and restart fixes the problem.
one can go to
http://radio.tentec.com/service/downloads/
to get 1.372 (the latest factory firmware for the original Orion) if so
desired. i have chosen not to modify the Orion to accept the 2.x versions of
firmware as i have heard no compelling reason to move that way. one can not
easily undo the modification to accept 2.x firmware.
i have copies of firmware 1.358-1.372 as well as 1.373b3 and 1.373b5. i run
the latter two on my Orions.
so far the problem you note has not stopped me from a good chat or chasing
DX when there is any i can hear.
