The hot audio output stage says to check for partially shorted coupling
capacitor, or a by pass capacitor on the speaker output line. Sometimes
there is a resistor in series with a cap, and if the cap shorts you will
have hot audio stage. The leakage of DC thru a bad coupling cap could also
cause the distortion.
