Sorry for seeming the dolt....I've been CWing with Halli keyers, bugs, sideswipers, hacksaw blades...and now the best of the best paddles (but....somewhat ashamed to say, one of my favs is a cheapy Hi-Mound job....closest paddle spacing of 'em all!!!)
But, I've never heard of this "bens best etc. etc."
What is it....a warm-up thing, secret code, morse tongue twister??? My bad, but neva hoid of it!!!
Can someone give me the one thing learned per day enlightenment??

....Dave

AHA! This one's a lie!

We had to send error free for a couple of minutes, and I've shot enough
rounds with my M16 to know that your run out of Amo in about 10 to 12
seconds.

But I believe all of the other stories.

When I took mine, after maxing the receive test, I hooked up my keyer, sent a couple of practice strings, including Bens Best Bens Feet at about 50 wpm.
The tester said "you passed", and left the room. That was it.

I had to use a M-16 and send bursts that matched the number of dots
and dashes :-).
