I think the value in the rig is twofold:
1) John Henry says it will be of a modular design, a model for future
rig design, easily fixed and updated.
2) If you read the specs, it looks like a fairly upper end performer,
with solid receiver specs, especially good dynamic range.
It will be a simple, but effective, performer. So fans of simple, but
good, radios should like it fine. Not unique, but well executed.
Just MY take, anyway.
