Okay, now I'm really confused! I'm looking at the V2 sweep mod document and
have my 565AT in bits in front of me. Cannot for the life of me identify a
battery anywhere on either the document or the hardware on my bench. Huh,
what gives? Where exactly is this battery? Lets try and narrow it down to a
specific board first:
DSP/CPU
Display
Left side front panel
Right side front panel

Maybe I'm being dumb here but nothing I can see looks anything like a
battery I've ever seen before.

Thanks
Martin, HS0ZED

It's in the front panel of the Orion. It's a coin cell. See the
description on the tentec website for how to do the version 2 sweep mod.
This description shows how to get to the battery. The battery is what keeps
the non-volatile RAM alive. Changing it should fix your problem.
