Thanks Gary, I would not have a problem with $150 but who knows what it could
turn out to be. I'm going to call Paul at TT Monday and see what he says. One
of the guys on the Reflector said there has been a lot of trouble with
switching
diodes in the Omni 6, I may just have TT send me a few and just change the
diodes for the bands that are in trouble.

Thanks for your help, Wayne

Wayne,

He didn't say how much to repair but I'd bet by the time you pay to ship it
to TT, tech labor, parts, and return shipping, you'll have $150 invested.

Here is the relevant part of the message I received....

I called the phone number you sent me for Ten Tec service and they had me
mail the radio... After week or so
they returned the radio, they replaced K6 &K7 #32103 low pass board ,
cleaned
and aliganed as needed.
Radio working fine....

Thanks Gary, I really don't want to send it to TT, but may have to do that.
Do
you know how much it cost to fix?

Wayne

My Omni VI+ which I sold last summer apparently had this symptom on one band
and was sent to TT by the new owner for repair of the band pass board.

My OMNI 6+ has a power issue on 20m and 17m, it drops to 50w output on 20m
and
15w on 17m. All other bands are okay. I've checked the output of the L.O.
Mixer
board, port 26, across a 50 ohm load. 160m through 40m, the the output is
800
mvpp and and drops to 100mv on 20m and up. I don't think it is the output
filters of the PA because 20m and 17m don't share the same filter. The L.O.
Mixer is nested below another board so I can not make any measurements on
that
board other than ohm meter readings. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,
Wayne/w8aju
