Bob,

>Does anyone have experience with the 1253 regenerative receiver kit?

I built it when they first came out. You guys know I love TT, right? I
gotta tell you that while I thought it was a clever way to get the job
done, it was a piece of junk, as far as it's operation. It was very
difficult to get it to regenerate and keep it there with CW and
compared to others I built, even AM detection wasn't out to snuff.

There are many, many regen schemes out there these days that work and
*don't* need phenolic plug-in coils to get the job done. Just my
not-so-humble opinion. Sorry f it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
