Hi,
I just bought a used Jupiter, (older model with green screen and gray
case). It looks and works fine with one problem. The guy who I bought it
from briefly mentioned it had the CW personality Firmware. It's there
but doesn't work like the instructions on the Ten Tec web page says.

My question is, were there different levels of upgrade from the regular
Jupiter to the newer CW personality? I don't know much about it and the
person I bought it from has not been of any help. The cw reader seems to
work, I can tune a cw signal and it will decode the signal if it is
strong enough but I can't get the radio to go back to the regular 538
mode.

While in the CW mode, you don't have AM or FM capabilities and I like to
listen to AM BCB/SW. I operate cw 99% of the time but have no need for
the decode function.

Holding the "MODE" switch in doesn't give me the option to pick GO 538
or CW

When turning on the radio the screen indicates :

JUPITER 538 CW

REV 1.03 b4 11.18.2008

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm reluctant to
reload any new firmware until I have a better idea of what is going.

I would like to just go back to the latest regular Jupiter firmware if
possible. I've looked through the archives but don't really see anything
that describes my situation.

If anyone is familiar with the Jupiter and the upgrade to the cw
personality and has an idea of what I am trying to describe I would
appreciate corresponding off the list

My email is nz8j@woh.rr.com

Thanks
Tim
