I have both..The OMNI is better, but the Eagle blows both away

That's an important "if". On the other hand, IF you need excellent
immunity from strong adjacent cw signals, I'd go for a down converting
rig with narrow roofing filters at the first i.f. (i.e., Eagle, Orion,
etc).
