The Elecraft panadaptor is a pretty box, but the function is much better
performed through a PC interface than a display on the radio.
What sort of operating do you do? Have you lived with both? The Elecraft
P3 has some very slick features, including the fact that it can be
calibrated to voltage at the RX input. Also quick recall of display
setups, the ability to jump to a frequency under a cursor.
A panadapter, if it is a good one, is a VERY useful tool in contesting,
DXing, chasing noise, monitoring for band openings on what appears to be
a quiet band.
