Hi,

I would like to make a small suggestion regarding CQ calling practices on 160
meters. Many stations tend to call CQ exactly on whole-number frequencies, such
as 1812.0 kHz, 1822.0 kHz, and similar. Unfortunately, these exact integer
frequencies are often affected by various industrial noise products and
spurious tones, which makes it very difficult to copy weak signals.

A simple solution would be to move just a little off these whole-number
frequencies—even 100 Hz up or down is usually enough to avoid the interference.
This small shift can significantly improve the ability to hear weak stations.
