Hi, Tony  --

     Glad to see you made it back from Dayton.  Enjoyed meeting you and
thanks for the talk at the contest forum.

     I've seen a couple of 'tower-as-mast' schemes and mostly they were flat
top sections  mounted in a top to top configuration with a thrust bearing in
between.  Since they are mounted together, there is no moment on the coupling
mast (is that right?).  I don't know of anyone who has this commercially
available but it can be done with existing Rohn parts pretty easily.

    Although I see a lot of ring rotors being used, IMO most people use them
somewhat reluctantly due to less than commercial materials and reliability.
 Your mileage may vary.
